What’s it like to work with a personal coach or professional health and healing strategist?
If you’re feeling stuck, want clarity, need support or your want more out of your life, your coach is there for you. You would never expect an athlete to reach the Olympic Game’s without a world-class coach. Why would you expect any less in your personal life?
Your personal coach and/or professional health and healing strategist will:
- Help you clarify you vision.
- Support you to eliminate mental and emotional blocks, procrastinations and fears.
- Keep you focused and accountable.
- Uncover unconscious behaviors and patterns that no longer serve you.
- Expect you to do your best and hold you to it!
- Help you identify and live by your values.
Personal/Health/Healing Coaching is about helping you make better decisions about your life, and your health. The truth is, my clients are very smart. Yet they still know the value of accessing someone who can be objective, honest, and constructive about the issues and options they are facing.
How long does a coach work with an individual?
The length of a coaching relationship varies depending on the individual’s needs and preferences. Three to six months of working with a coach may work for certain individuals. Other individuals may find it beneficial to work with a coach for a longer period. Factors that may impact the length of time include: the types of goals, individual style, current state of being and financial resources available to support coaching.
How are coaching sessions structured?
Coaching occurs over the phone or in person one to three times a month for 30-45 minutes each session. Coaching sessions are conducted on weekdays, usually during business hours.
What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
Coaching supports personal healing and growth and empowers individuals to enhance their quality of life through action-based design. Coaching is primarily about discovery, awareness and choice. Coaching is not about solving problems or improving performance, although all of that will certainly happen in an effective coaching relationship. Coaching is an effective way of empowering people to find their own answers, encouraging and supporting them on their journey as they continue to make important choices in their lives. Coaching does not focus on individuals dealing with pain, addiction or a traumatic experience.
