If you saw the movie "What The Bleep", then you may remember Dr. Joe Dispenza.  (If you haven't seen the movie I highly recommend it!)  In the movie Dr. Joe starts the conversation about how we can re-train our minds to create more of what we want and less of what we don't want.  At a personal development conference I attended, I got to hear much more of the conversation from Dr. Joe himself about how our minds work and how we can use this awareness to form new thought patterns that better serve us and get rid of those that don't!  And, it's really simple! 
 
Now simple doesn't mean easy, at least at first.  But all we need to really do is be aware of our old thought patterns by how we are feeling.  If you find yourself feeling anxious, nervous, fearful, angry or frustrated, most likely you are thinking thoughts that are not in alignment with your higher self.  The thing to do as soon as you notice this is to change those thoughts into something that will give you some kind of relief from those feelings and replace them with feelings of peace, joy, hope, love, even acceptance. 
When you consciously create a new thought, new neurons appear in your brain that create a new connection.  Then every time you practice replacing the old thought with the new thought, the connections grows stronger and stronger and the old "thought connections" weaken and disappear! 
 
Now, I know I am not explaining this in the exact technical words a scientist like Joe would use, but I think you get what I am describing here.  At the conference, we were shown actual video of this happening in the brain and I was blown away!  If you would like to see this for yourself, please check out Dr. Joe's website http://www.drjoedispenza.com/ .  I think you will be just as amazed as I was.
 
What all this means to you and I is if there is a change we desire in our life such as more money, better relationships, or better health, we can do several things.  We can take what we begin to recognize as "wrong thinking" and change it, we can create affirmations and repeat them often with feeling, we can create vision boards or videos, we can do whatever it takes to bombard our brain with change we wish to see.  
 
As we strengthen the connection of our new improved thoughts, we actually change the vibrational energy of those thoughts and as they travel out into the quantum field of possibility, we attract more of what we want!  Whoo hoo! I love this stuff! 

Several years ago, I had a dream, a wish, a vision, that I would one day travel all over the country and world to hear metaphysical leaders speak and be a part of a large community of other people who love this stuff as much as I do.  As I was sitting at this conference enjoying Dr. Joe's talk, it struck me that the vision had come true on a very big level.  I was one of over 2000 people who, like me, were hanging onto his every word and deeply touched and inspired by his work in the beautiful Islands of the Bahama's!
